The Rabbit and The Tortoise

Once upon a time, there was a rabbit and a tortoise. They were good friends. They used to meet and play every day. The rabbit always boasted that he could run faster than the tortoise. He always mocks the tortoise for his slow speed. The tortoise never argued with him.

One day the rabbit challenged the tortoise for a race. Tortoise said, "Dear friend, I am the slowest animal and you are the fattest. all know that if we have a race then you will be the winner, so I am not interested in a race." 

The rabbit said, " you are afraid of me, that's why you are not coming for a competition. " 

The tortoise replied "I am not afraid of you" 

"Then come for a race," said the rabbit.

The tortoise agreed and they decided to have a race. They chose a starting and a finishing point. The rabbit ran really fast and soon left the tortoise far behind. He thought that tortoise is too slow and he can rest for a while. So he could get a chance to tease the tortoise. He stopped under a tree and went to sleep. 

Meanwhile, tortoise kept walking the whole time and reached the winning point. When the rabbit woke up the saw that tortoise has already won the race. He felt ashamed and that day onwards he never boasted.
